B2B brand awareness

LinkedIn ads management that gets you known by decision-makers

I'm a LinkedIn ads freelancer, and I use LinkedIn for one thing: awareness. B2B LinkedIn ads put your name in front of the job titles that sign off on the deal, often enough that they remember you when it's time to buy.

What changes when I run your B2B LinkedIn ads for awareness

1. You reach job titles, not cheap clicks

I start with job title targeting and audience expansion switched off, so the budget goes to the people who actually sign off on the deal.

2. Bids that start low

LinkedIn impressions are expensive. I start on manual CPC at the lowest bid and work up, rather than overpaying on day one.

3. The right people see you more than once

Video ads and retargeting keep you in front of people who engaged, so recognition builds instead of resetting every campaign.

4. You talk to the person doing the work

No account managers or juniors. One media buyer, a handful of clients, and you hear what changed before you ask.

How I run LinkedIn ads management

Here's the setup I use. I picked up most of it from the r/PPC community and a few YouTube breakdowns, then adapted it for awareness. It's not the only way to do it, it's the way I do it.

  1. 1

    Onboarding and research

Who signs off on the deal, their job titles and companies, and the one thing they should remember about you.

  2. 2

    Build the campaign

Job title targeting, audience expansion off, manual CPC at the lowest bid. Square images, so the ads work on mobile and desktop.

  3. 3

    First ad batch

3–4 ad variations with contrasting colours, so they stand out in the feed and give us something to AB test.

  4. 4

    Retarget the people who engaged

Video ads for people who engaged, so the same decision-makers keep seeing you without it getting annoying.

  5. 5

    Review and refresh every month

Check reach and frequency against your target job titles, refresh creative before it wears out, and keep the recognisable parts the same.

Questions people ask

What does it cost?

From $750 a month for one platform and one campaign. Extras only if you need them. Ad spend is paid directly to LinkedIn from your own account.

Do you run LinkedIn ads for leads?

No. I only use LinkedIn for awareness. For leads and booked calls, I'd use Facebook lead generation ads, where the cost per lead is usually far lower. Running both together works well: LinkedIn builds the name, Meta collects the enquiries.

How do you measure awareness on LinkedIn?

Reach and frequency within your target job titles and companies, video view rates, and how many of those people engage. Then whether your sales team hears "I've seen you on LinkedIn" more often.

Do I have to sign a long contract?

No. Month to month after an initial three-month setup period. You keep the ad account, the campaigns, the creative and the data.

What happens on the call?

15 minutes. I'll look at your current ads beforehand, tell you what I'd change and why, and you decide if you want help doing it.
